Actual Guidelines Coming (very) Soon

The 4 Flip Sake framework is an attempt to equip educators and edtechs with a practical way to guide the implementation of a flipped classroom approach (with the ultimate aim of optimising in-class time – either physically and/ or online) in the post-Covid landscape.

The approach has been designed as a post-Covid methodology as a means to take what has already been learned and developed during the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) period and to utilise the skills, knowledge and resources developed in order to help offer lecturers and students more in-person/ in-class time and flexibility for engaged learning opportunities.

The flipped classroom broadly aims to increase student engagement by having learners undertake self-study prior to a live class, and using in-class time for active, collaborative activities. So at its heart, the 4 Flip Sake approach is about optimizing in-class experience.

The point of it is not to introduce more technology into the teaching process or to go more digital – but rather to optimise in-class opportunities – in particular more time & space for live engaged learning activities.

I’ll be adding proper guidelines and resources (including evaluation assets) here under a CC license very soon.
